Grand Opening art show for the new A Ship in the Woods(WSOHOIDPS) headquarters.

A collaborative community project between Paradox design team, Urban Collaborative Project, and resident's of South Eastern San Diego to show the inherent cultural potential of the corner of Euclid and Imperial Avenue, through an urban intervention which shines a light on the under served community of Encanto.

This led to Better Block day. An event that incorporated civic engagement in order to create social awareness of improvement's community member's still seek from their city leader's.

A collaborative project designed and fabricated by Paradox Design Group, A Ship in the Woods founder RJ Brooks, Salk Institute Neurobiologist John Reynolds, sound artist Greg Smaller and researcher Daw-An Wu. Based on visual scientist Patrick Cavanagh, Rhodopsin blurs the boundary between art and science. The individual's photo-receptor's are activated in complete darkness creating a unique bodily and visual experience.
